Abstract

Considering the binding process of the King of León and the
councils of the kingdom through the courts, we have determined
that the representatives of the councils were indicated
in various documents before and after the assembly of Alfonso
IX of 1188. Therefore, beginning with aforementioned,
the social base in the traditional decision making process had
expanded. Now, officially speaking, the councils were now actors
in the decisions of the Leon monarchy.
