L`Travail De La Memoire Of Paul Ricoeur: The Significance As An Epistemological Contribution For The History Research

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to propose the hermeneutics presented
by the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur as an intelligible way to
access the epistemology of history. We take his phenomenology
of memory as a condition of the human in the significant narration
of language. Situated between stances close to post-modern relativism
and historiographical traditions close to positivism, cultural
history appears deficient regarding reflexivity from an ontological
point of view, even though its postulates are varied and wide-ranging.
For this reason, the main problem of this article is focused
around the signification of reality.
