Chile And United States: Interests And Policies In Antarctica, 1928-1939

Abstract

This paper analyzes the historical development of the US and Chilean Antarctic policies, with a focus on their opposing characteristics. It is suggested that, while Chilean arguments are based on the past, for the United States its arguments are projected towards the future.
