The Construction Of Militar Legitimacy. Chile, 1973
Abstract
This article analyzes how the military legitimized their actions,
in the precise moment of their occurrence, beyond the official
statements of the Military Junta.Through Critical Discourse
Analysis and historiographic analysis, we establish a link between
the textual elements of two expressions of testimonial
literature with the various contexts of power. We determine
the construction of legitimacy based on “formal ideology”
and “total ideology”, a-rationalities, fear, instincts and the establishment
of biopowers that were functional to the “war”
through which the Military State imposed its sovereignty.
Keywords: legitimation, fear, formalideology, total ideology,
instinct,a-rationality, biopower,biopolitics, military-civilianregime.
